Choose the version you read
The label beside the site title shows which version of the docs you are reading. When the site offers more than one, select it to switch to another version.
About this task
You normally read the docs for the version your organization runs. What the label offers is set by the site's staff:
- Release 2.1: the site has no version picker. You read your own version.
- Version 2.1 with no arrow: the version you are reading. You cannot switch here.
- Version 2.1 with an arrow: a menu of versions you can switch to.
-
Select the version label beside the site title.
On a narrow screen, select Menu: the versions are listed under Version, below the search box.
-
Select the version you want to read.
The page you were on opens again in that version. If it does not exist there, you see a page saying it was not found, with that version's contents beside it.
Results
- Your choice stays for every page, search and PDF on the site until you switch again, in this browser.
- Switching changes only the version. You still see only the products and features your organization is entitled to.
- Your own version is always in the list, so you can switch back to it.
- The help panel inside your apps always shows your own version.
