PDF publications
Curated manuals, such as an administrator guide, defined as bookmaps and printed for each reader through the same filter as the website.
A PDF gets downloaded and passed around, so a leak there would be worse than on the web. Each reader's PDF holds only the chapters, topics and paragraphs their release and entitlements allow. Two readers with different products get two different PDFs from the same bookmap.
This site has two: the OpenD Administrator Guide and the OpenD Author Guide. The links in the page header download the ones you can see.
What a PDF contains
- A cover with the publication title, the site title, the release and the date it was generated.
- A contents list whose entries link to their chapters.
- Every chapter and topic the reader can see, in map order. Each top-level chapter starts on a new page.
- A PDF outline (bookmarks) built from the headings, page numbers in the footer and the title in the header. The PDF is tagged for accessibility.
Where to get one
- In the previewer:
/pdf/<name>.pdffor the current "Preview as" reader, and/_opend/publicationsfor the list. - On the hosted site:
/pdf/<name>.pdffor the signed-in reader, linked from every page header.
